her young baby, two weeks old, after his father abducting him was caught in mexico. henry is cared tore by mexican authorities until he can be returned to his mother in sunday veil. henry's father was caught at a check point in mexico near arizona. he took the bake on tuesday and soiled the mother he would harm himself and the baby if she called police. she called miss seven hours later. amber alert was issued and the relieved mother spoke with the reporters with the help of an interpreter. authorities are not sure when henry will be reunited with his mother. >> hashtag i.p.o. happening this morning and twitter will make

the public stock debut hoping to avoid missteps that plagued another bay area giant. abc7 news reporter, amy hollyfield, is at the twitter building. >> this is promised to be better than facebook offering. it is a go day for twitter in san francisco and new york. in new york, this is how it looks on the new york stock exchange getting in on the excitement surrounding twitter putting out signs foe san francisco company. trading is scheduled to start at 6:30 pacific time. twitter is priced shares at $126 each. this will make it the largest internet i.p.o. by an american -- rather, the second largest; the largest was facebook. investors are ready to support twitter as a public company. >> the feeling is it will do really well and there is quite a bit excitement.

san francisco officials have expressed a lost appreciation for twitter and what it has done for the city locating in the mid-market area. some residents are not happy and plan a day of action against the company today starting with a protest in front of twitter headquarters at 6:30 this morning. there will then be a rally at noon. they are upset about rents going up, tax breaks the company has received, the city is spending money to support the company on police presence new bus route. they say what has the public offering done for san francisco? the executives are not here. they are in new york. they are ready to start their first day of tradeing. >> two of the company founders will be very wealthy instantly. jack dorsey will have $609 million in twitter stock and the cofounder evan williams will

2008. the national transportation safety board is cutting their own investigation and abc7 news reporter will have more on the hearings at 5:30. >> officials say it will take a positive longer than expected to complete the permanent fix for the giant steam bolts that snapped on the new eastern span of the bay bridge. the $23 million custom steel saddles will be fully operational by january 8. officials hoped it would be done by december 10 but the fabrication was complex. the shims allowed officials to on the span on labor day will remain in place until the saddles are installed. >>menlo park police are asking for the help of the public to find a witness in a deadly traffic accident. marjorie reitzel was

we will have a chance of rain in the seven-day forecast. right now, leyla gulen has an upstate on an accident. >> it is in oakland westbound side of 580. we got off the phone with c.h.p. and major injuries are involved and a possible fatality involving one vehicle. three vehicles are on the scene blocking traffic. it sounds like for traffic will be able to get through along 580. possibly one or two lanes. we are standing by for more information. you can see that is causing quite the delay up to highway 13. since you are on 580 you need to make the drive over highway 13 that will get you right into oakland or avoid it all and take 880 instead. more details in a limit bit but as we take it over to 580 headed into castro valley if the come houston takes you from the dublin interchange you will see no traffic is build up yet but map ahead and try to avoid it. outside, in san jose, this is going to be a decent drive away from highway 17 with only a

tracks during the strike. abc7 news reporter, katie marzullo, has new information. >> we got an advanced copy of the testimony that bart officials will make. the california public utilities commission which oversees bart performed 30 inspections this year. federal officials found no deficiencies. he says that the t.s.a. gave bart the highest security rating of gold standard. the bart assistant general manager will attempt to better define simple approval, the safety policy at heart of the hearing. it makes workers responsible for their own safety when they are on the tracks. that is what christopher shepard and larry daniels were operating under, "simple approval," when they were killed in october. bart has continued the practice but it was in play in 2008 when a worker was killed. bart was cited but the
